    Description

Are you a teapot collector?  Are you an art deco collector?  Are you a bedouin collector?   Put this on your Christmas list - it's a rare one.
Silent screen super-star, Rudolph Valentino, (1895-1926) starred in "The Shiek" in 1921 and a craze swept the country.  He died in 1926.
I believe this teapot is a tribute to his role in the movie.  By researching the English Registry Number on the bottom, I am able to determine it was made in 1927, while the memory of Valentino was still alive in the hearts of his many fans.
It has no manufacturer's mark, but it has all of the attributes of china from Royal Doulton.  This is not confirmed and if anyone can identify this pattern, I would like to hear from them. This may or may not be Royal Doulton.   I have spent hours trying to find one like it on the internet and was unable to find anything that resembles this.
Teapot and lid are stamped "Registration No. 730719, which is a number from 1927 English China Registry.   The decoration I believe is transfer and then an overglaze applied.
It is designed in the art deco style -  clean lines and bold color.  It is essentially square but the spout is set into a corner, making it very unusual. The lid has no chips or flaws and all of the safety flanges are intact.
The body of the teapot has no chips, cracks, or repairs.  Please enlarge and review all of the photos which are part of this description.
