Description
This eBay offering is for a vintage signed 3x5 card by U.S. Army General Matthew Bunker Ridgway. He commanded the 82nd Airborne Division and the XVIII Airborne Corps during World War II. During the Korean war he commanded the U.S. 8th Army. He later served as the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (NATO) and was the 19th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army.He was real combat warrior and a fighting general. He would wear hand grenades on the harness of his load bearing equipment. And he did that as a general officer. He, like General Patton, was a real fighter. One of his favorite sayings was, "Your job is to put your rifle into the other guys face and shoot him dead."
He was credited with saving the U.S. Army from total defeat in Korea. When he took over 8th Army it was losing and morale was in the mud. He went back to soldier basics and combat fundamentals and turned he entire situation around. It was one of the most amazing feats of combat leadership in the history of the U.S. Army. Hooah! PayPal only; no credit cards; absolutely no international shipping to include APO, FPO, and Puerto Rico. I'm sorry, but I've had too many bad experiences with those.
