1.How to install
First ,
Remove stock door handle(s) and remove the armrest and door panel as required . Install crank shaft extension over existing shaft and tighten set screw(s) with a 1/8" hex head, allen wrench to 72-75 inch pounds (We
recommend
using Blue Lock-Tite on the set screw to prevent it from backing out )
As a note
:
the set screw is made of  steel with at cone point for the best possible holding capacity. With proper torque the pointed end of the set screw(s) will bite to the steel shaft and ensure it won't loosen up over time
Next
,  re-install the door panel and push door handle on to the  shaft extension. Check to ensure the clip is engaged into the groove on the shaft extension.
This product will extend your door handle shaft by 5/8" (tolerence is 0 to + 1/16") depending on the length of your existing shaft. If you need another 1/8" to 1/4" don't bottom out the extension on the original shaft when installing the extension and or if you need a little less extension, you can grind down the existing shaft to about where the groove for the c-clip would go ... just be sure the set screw will properly engage the original shaft then install the extension.

Fits most 1950-1990 General Motors Products (Chevy, GMC, Pontiac, Buick, Olds, GM and Chevy Trucks, Camaro, Corvette, Cadillac) and many other domestic cars and trucks  ( Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler cars and and even imports like Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, ...) with at ~1/2" diameter splined shaft on the window regulator (GM Spec for shaft diameter is .41 to .46 depending on whether it is a window crank, door latch release, wing vent crank or door lock... Our product fits most of them), 16 spline shaft in which the window or door handle is attached to the shaft with a "C" clip as depicted in photo # 2 and #3 of  this offering.
3.Return:
If you
return
the item and the reason is "Too Long" I will charge a 20% fee for processing. I find that people are not reading the details of the product and expect a 1/4" extension which is impossible to make and it's costing me a lot of money. I can't be more upfront about the length of the extension.
4.Warranty

Additionally, we conducted destructive testing by inserting  a 24" steel pipe over the extension and attempted to break the welds... the result was, we twisted and destroyed the window regulator and the splined shaft remained attached to the tubing as designed.
