Wider Medieval Black Leather Ring Belt
This sturdy 9-11 oz drum dyed latigo leather belt is the same premium product that we've used for hundreds of Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) and Renaissance Faire participants over several decades. We use latigo because it looks and feels great, is extremely long lived and is very color fast.   This belt measures 1 3/4" wide and is your choice in length (standard length is 72"), so that it can be knotted in Half Windsor/SCA fashion. Built for good presentation, long life, and with serious quality, it will exceed your expectations.
What is latigo leather?
Latigo
is a steer hide that is alum tanned and drum dyed and useful in all conditions. Because of the tanning process, latigo lends itself nicely to outdoor use due to it's resistance to water. Latigo will burnish in areas of high contact. It is soft like a bridle with the firm hand of a harness, which is the best of both worlds.

This belt is a typically 72" but we make each belt just for you and have longer straps on hand. Shorter is easy too, but please be careful and don't make it too small. The formula is: circumference of WAIST + 12 inches + how long you'll want the tail. If we don't hear from you we'll assume that 72+/-" is good as that fits most people pretty well.
Finished end:
Square cut, diagonal cut, or English V. We'll trim the end with a diagonal cut unless you tell us otherwise.

2 1/2" ID Stainless Steel, 2 1/2" ID Solid Brass, or 2 3/4" Engraved Stainless

This fine belt is handmade entirely with hand tools in our smoke free workshop in Saint Albans, Vermont. We are happy to ship internationally and insurance is included in this rate.

Handling time:
We generally ship in just a few days but we also attend a large event called The Pennsic War takes us away from the workshop for several weeks every July/August.  We continue to accept orders while we are gone and will send things out within a few days of returning home.  Watch for the away message and note the handling time.  Please let us know if you are in urgent need by a specific date and we'll do our very best to accommodate your schedule.
